Girls Aloud are a British Girl band consisting of Nadine Coyle , Cheryl Cole , Kimberly Walsh , Sarah Harding and Nicola Roberts. Girls Aloud were formed on the reality television show Popstars : The Rivals in 2002. Since then , they have become a huge success. To date they have had eighteen top ten singles , including three number ones. Their style of music consists of pop and electro pop.
The Show is the fifth single from Girls Aloud. The single was released on june 28th 2004 in the United Kingdom and reached number two in the British Single Charts. The show comes under the Dance Pop genre. The length of this track is three minutes and thirty seconds. The Show is taken of Girls Aloud's second album ; What Will The Neighbours Say ?.
The Show is different to Girls Aloud's other songs. I think , perhaps at the time , they were experimenting with their sound , and at the time this was their 'new sound' from their previous singles such as 'Sound Of the underground' and 'No Good Advice'. The Show has a very catchy rhythm. It is a very cheery Summer song. I could imagine driving around in an open top sports car on the beach with this blasting out of the radio.
The lyrics in this song are slightly odd. Such as 'Should have hung around the kitchen in my underwear'. In a way the singing is over powered by the backing track . I would describe the vocals as slightly 'misty' as they don't sound that clear. Yes you can , understand the words they're singing but their vocals seem like they are in the background! Overall a good song from Girls Aloud , which is different to their usual sound!
