Advantages: LOADS of features. Good sound. Quite versatile! Disadvantages: Some may find it confusing to understand, get the sound they want etc. Some presets lack the oomph
I got this for £155
The Vox VT15 is one of these modeling amps. It has:
"VOX Valve Reactor circuit that uses a 12AX7 to produce real tube power amp sound"
Just the one 12ax7 tube. Speaker wise it has 1x 8 inch 4 ohm speaker, Vox "original" they say it is.
Now for the overwhelming amount of features this lil bugger has!
. 22 amp models
. 3 banks for each amp model (so 66)
. 12 effects
. 22 song presets
. 4 channels letting you save 2 of your own sounds in each (so 8)
. A power level switch at the back so you can turn down the amp down from 15W down to 0.2W.
Other features like many amps it has a headphone socket but this one is a 3.5mm one unlike most, the smaller kind. May be more convenient but for this you pay in sound quality via headphones. Noise reduction is also available.
The knobs are cream coloured chicken ...
