Ok the guys may have had their time but you can’t say the music isn’t class; it also stands the test of time from the gimmick rot pop we have today x factor and all that.
This may be early to mid 90’s music; the beats and the inspiration are there in abundance.
From Charlie the best track and probably the breakthrough track on their breakthrough album experience released in 1992.
To the edgy beats on the classic music for the jilted generation, which gave us, voodoo people (the best/weirdest hit up to firestarter being released). The album also gave us poison and no good start the dance of which even my gran can tap to.
When this album cam out in 1994 it was a hit and is probably the teen’s rebellion album of choice.
This album contained 3 kilos, and the thrilling 1st song break and enter featuring baby D. Then in 1997 came the daddy the god the big cahoona, FAT OF THE LAND. Firestarter and breathe both number 1s.
And the funky Narayan with Kula shakers Krispin Mills not forgetting the hallucinating climbatize and controversial smack my bitch up (the bird was thrust in the face of the do good brigade) if you don’t know what I mean watch the video and the twist at the end a classic in my mind.
After this album myself a fan can only admit the way was down with two more albums mainly driven By Liam Howlett cam the dirt chamber sessions.
A travesty when I first heard it but it grew on then last year and me Always out numbered never out gunned, which I can safely say the best singles are from the 1992 to 97 era.
This album is nothing new but that it takes the best from the 5 albums and puts the back to back so there’s no CD swapping.
The list of songs goes as: -
1.Firestarter 2.Their Law 3.Breathe 4.Out Of Space 5.Smack My Bitch Up 6.Poison 7.Girls 8.Voodoo People 9.Charly 10.No Good (Start The Dance) 11.Spitfire 12.Jericho 13.Everybody In The Place 14.One Love 15.Hot Ride
I have marked the best in bold the others are not bad songs but this is a personal view. It’s a pity the didn’t put some of the better
I have all the albums and single but I still bought this to stick in my car for the boom boom moment when it arises.
I guess to rate this you must be a prodigy lover or at least intrigued to hear the older stuff next to the new.
I highly recommend this but it is a required taste, but a taste in music I think the new generation should sample and maybe some of the older that tap to the beat like my mum.
So for those in the know and those not sample the best of the Prod.

Advantages: Some truly classic hard-core dance anthems and some truly controversial lyrics Disadvantages: Towards the end of the album, begins to lose focus
