Genius. Utter Genius. The Prodigy return with their singles album to celebrate 15 years of heavy dance music with 15 of their best songs. The Prodigy have been a major name in the UK dance scene for many years. Out of the years that they have been together some of their most famous songs are "Firestarter", "Smack My Bitch Up", "Breathe", and "Voodoo People". These are all on this album. With "Firestarter" as the opening track on the album, you are sure to be up and dancing as soon as you put it on !! It truely was one of the last decent songs to get to number one in the twentieth century. Although it did not get alot of mainstream airplay before it was released. This just gave it a more anarchistic feel to a song which was already an anarchist. Next follows the slightly slower "Their Law" which is a drum and bass track with a rock riff over the top of it. The third track is possibly The Prodigys' greatest track. "Breathe" puts a heavy bass drum beat with an even heavier bass rhythm. Everyone who was growing up around the release of this track knows the band and the song just by the opening riff its such a classic. I could go on describing how "Out of Space" mixes a dance tune with reggae and sound effects, or how "Charly" mixes bass n' breaks with dodgy sound effect lyrics. but that would make a boring read. All that you need to know is that this is a cracking album, put together by one hell of a band. PUT IT ON AND TURN IT UP !!!

*UPDATE* Hubby loves this album and so do I, only problem is we play it too loud it's just that sort of music don't you think? You need to buy the limited edition, for a few pounds more you get another CD with lots of live tracks on. Minxy x

Got this for my hubby for xmas only its the limited edition version with 2 discs, can't wait to see his face when he opens it he loves the Prodigy. Great review!!
