...The Tornados originally came together as a kind of session group for many of the musical acts producer JoeMeek had on his hands in the early 1960's. The public first heard their name with the introduction of the album "We Want Billy", featuring the then stellar Billy Fury, to whom they acted as backing musicians.

The initial line-up comprised: Clem Cattini - drums, Heinz Burt - bass, Alan Caddy and George Bellamy - guitars, Norman Hale - keyboards (later to be replaced by Roger La Vern).
The personnel changed quite frequently over the lifespan of the group, until only Clem Cattini remained as an original member in the mid-sixties.
Their first single, "Love and Fury" was released in 1962, and although that tune did not do particularly well in the charts, it featured many of the instrumental characteristics...

Track Four: ‘When You Believe’
This is Whitney’s duet with the other ‘super diva’ Miss Mariah Carey! It is from the soundtrack to ‘The Prince Of Egypt’. Their voices go nice together and I think this song proves they both have talent of their own (so people stop saying ‘Whitney is better than Mariah’ or vice versa, please!) This song is about what you can achieve ‘when you believe’. Babyface produced this song.

Advantages: All top songs including several modern hits Disadvantages: Pointless if you already own a few albums or are a fan of their older work
.... There are a few lyrical breaks that see guitar solos struggle through but these are broken up by Tyler's "oohhhs" and "aaahhhs". Unusually for the band you can really hear the vocal harmonies coming through on this track and in my opinion it works well and sounds brilliant. Pink is one of many Aerosmith songs that stands out as a unique piece that you can feel as well as listen to.
Track sixteen is "I DON'T WANT TO MISS A THING". A beautiful piece of music with an outstanding vocal performance. The music features an entire orchestra but this doesn't prevent Tyler's powerful voice from forcing it's way through to the front of the track. This is the first song I've heard from Aerosmith that I can firmly call a rock ballad rather than a metal one. It's firm, it has intent, it's smooth and it's very, very powerful.
