Review of No Time for Goodbye - Linwood Barclay

There are no clean getaways...

Advantages: Serious, violent, character-based cinematic masterpiece
Disadvantages: The ending is a little disappointing for some

NO COUNTRY FOR OLD MEN Intro No Country For Old Men is arguably the finest movie that the illustrious Coen brothers have ever made, and this is no mean feat, their works include major successes such as The Big Lebowski, Fargo, and Brother Where Art Thou, and a whole host of other great films. But the brothers showed their diversity here, changing from their usual comedies to produce a brilliant fast-paced thriller. The film won four Oscars, and achieving this in a year in which similarly excellent films such as There Will Be Blood and Into The Wild is a fantastic achievement. It's a literary adaptation of Cormac McCarthy's novel of the same name, and definitely does the book justice. Review of No Country For Old Men (DVD)

No Time For Goodbye thriller, kept me hooked until the very

Advantages: Could not put this book down
Disadvantages: Could not put this book down

A friend of mine lent me his book after she saw me reading other thrillers & I loved it. I just could not put this book down, think I sent my other half mad as I always had my head in this book. Its excellent, I was gripped from the start and all the way through to the end. This is the first book review i've ever done. Im not a massive reader but have recently started reading a few thrillers here & there, I only read 'No Time for Goodbye' as it was given to me by a friend who had read it & loved it. I'd never heard of Linwood Barclay but just a few pages in I knew I was going to enjoy this book. I was kept guessing until the very end about the twist and looked forward to getting home each night so I could find out what was going to happen next. I def recommend you read it for yourself and see what you think - if you like twists ...
