There For None To See - Grand Prix

A forgotten band - but they were brilliant

Advantages: good old-fashioned rock from the 80s
Disadvantages: none

This is one of my all -time favourite albums from the 1980s - when Rock really was much stronger than it is now, and groups could play their own music, and play it well. When I first got this - and for several years afterwards, it was my standard record to put on if I just wanted 40 minutes of good music that I could turn up loud and sing to. Then I lost the album, and it took me ten years to get another copy - it was deleted frrom all the catalogues. Finally I got it, and I now see that there are two editions available on Amazon now - published in 2000 and 2006. Why do I like it and recommend it? - the sheer variety and skill in it. There are ballads such as 'Tough of the track' - which also has a snippet of the commentary by Norris McWhirter for the first time the mile was run in under three minutes, by Roger Bannister. Review of There For None To See - Grand Prix

Continental Grand Prix 4000

Advantages: Lightweight and fast, should be hard wearing...
Disadvantages: Expensive, but worth it !

Just been for my first ride on my new Continental Grand Prix 4000 tyres, and thought I'd let you know about them. I know it's only a first use test, but will update this review when I've had them for a while. Also, I've assumed that if you're reading this, you have some interest and/or knowledge of bicycles. I hope that's OK... Continental have over 100 years experience in the development and production of road and mountain bike tyres, at the Continental Two-Wheel division's technology and development centre in Korbach in Germany. The Grand Prix 4000 road/race tyre is the sucessor to the excellent Grand Prix 3000 that I've had on my bike for 2 years or so. It's a "clincher" tyre (as opposed to a tubular tyre), so should fit most road/race wheels/rims. It was a bit of a narrow decision between these and the Continental Attack ...

Graphic adventure game for the Wii - And Then There Were None

Advantages: Good to see games of this genre back!
Disadvantages: Bit difficult, not as polished as the game could be

This review is for the Nintendo Wii game, Agatha Christie ? And Then There Were None. The game was released for the Wii in February 2008, having already been released on the PC. This game is based on the Agatha Christie of the same name, and is the first time that this title has been turned into a computer game. The Wii version of the game is a graphic adventure game, so you have to read the text and then click on items using the Wii remote to be able to progress through the game. The game is based quite closely on the book, and permission had to be given by the owners of the Christie?s estate to be able to make changes to the book. The main one is that you play the part of Patrick Narracott, a character which turns up on the island and then discovers that at least someone has murderous intent.
