There Is nothing Left To Loose Is the Foo Fighters third album following on from the hugely successful ‘The Colour And The Shape’. This album shows to me that the Foo Fighters have grown up a bit and have made more mature album here. I was really looking forward to the release of this album and when I got it home and listened to it (which was a while ago now) I was not disappointed, because in my opinion this is the best album they have done so far, but not by much, as the second album did run it very close in my mind.
The album starts with ‘Staked Actors’ a great way to start any album in my eyes, a mellow rock song in parts and a heavy rock song in other parts of the song.
Next up we have the fantastic ‘Breakout’, this a great song and the music video is even better, but talking of music videos, the next song has an even better on’ Learn To Fly’ , this is my favourite song on the album, I really love this song, its like a happy sort of rock song, if you know what I mean.
‘Gimme Stitches’ and ‘Generator’ are along the same lines for me, whereas ‘Aurora’ is a fantastic ballad which is a really good song to chill out to. ‘Live-in skin’ is properly the heaviest song on the album, Next Year is my second favourite song on the album, its a fantastic soft/rock love song with another top notch music video to boot.
‘Headwires’ reminds me a bit of ‘Stacked Actors’ as its like heavy in parts and not so heavy in others. ‘Ain’t It The Life’ is another balled like song, and M.I.A gives the album a strong finish.
The album actually contains some for you computer, the music video for ‘Learn To Fly’ is in there and is more than worth a look.
So to sum it up, this album is in my opinion there finest album to date, as its has more stand out songs than the Foo’s first two, and it really show’s Dave Grohl as a very talented musician and Song Writer, with a great band behind him.

Advantages: Very good album with wide appeal Disadvantages: Probably not as good as 'The Colour...', poppier, could be longer, not sure about 'lastability'
Advantages: Great Very Pop friendly and fills the purpose it appears to have been made for Disadvantages: Not what You would expect if you're an older Foo's fan
