In the dying years of the nineteenth century Daniel Plainview (Daniel Day-Lewis) a struggling silver miner realises that true wealth lies in oil extraction. As Plainview's empire expands so does his obsession with the intrinsic value of power and he becomes increasingly irascible and paranoid along the way. ...A fantastic CD with lot's of different kinds of rock. The best bands of 2006 and 2007 put in one CD. Artists like Snow Patrol, Razorlight, The Fratellies, The Arctic Monkeys, Automatic, The Ordinary Boys, The Killers, Keane, Franz Ferdinand, Kaiser Chiefs, The Kooks and the list goes on. Has two CD's and has 40 tracks, 20 on each CD. Has new up coming artist such as Wolfmother. has many artists winners from the Brits: The Killers who won best national CD and best national band, The Arctic Monkeys won best British CD and best British band. The Fratellis won an award too and many more Brit award winning artists. A fantastic purchase well worth its money. A great buy. I recommend definitely to people anywhere between 8 and 100 if they enjoy that kind of music. It even has some live performing artists such as 'The Arctic Monkeys' on tour...

Advantages: Varied popular songs plus some obscure ones Disadvantages: The obscure songs are probably not to everyones taste
...This is the second CD I have brought from this series, I find these CD's a general overview of the years music relating to well known tracks to some that are unknown to me. This therefore make is a very good album to listen to as you know what you are getting from some of the songs. artists like Sterophonics, Muse, Athlete, The Libertines and so on are well known and will appeal to the majority. There are however some more obscure songs bands like Client, Bees, which although are not to bad for my taste they may not appeal to everyone.
On the whole I have found this to be a good album in my collection and one that I will listen to if I can not make up my mind. If you like the main popular songs on this album then I would recommend to have this in your collection....

...This is one of the first compilation CD's I ever bought. At the time I thought it was fantastic, but over the years I've seemed to have grown a little sick of some of the songs.
If anyone remembers the days of Shaggy and Oh Carolina, well, you'll like this compilation as it's full of old songs like that, (and that song sure does bring abck quite a few memories!)
Artists include:
Reel 2 Reel, Haddaway, M People, Aswad, Sister Sledge, Shaggy, Robin S, 2 Unlimited, Capella, Prodigy, The Shamen, Snap, Seal, S'Express and Black Box....
As you can tell by some of the above names, most of them are the oldies!
Brilliant to keep for 'old time sakes'....
