Advantages: Ideal read for the forty-somethings! Disadvantages: My childhood is in a history book!!!
As readers to my reviews will know, I enjoyed watching Life on Mars, and the character of DCI Gene Hunt, played by Philip Glenister. Philip Glenister really enjoyed playing this character and it was a reminder of his early life, watching cop shows like The Sweeney, and also, of listening to the music of the time.
Following on his successes in Life on Mars, and the sequel, Ashes to Ashes, Philip Glenister released a book in time for Christmas, called 'things ain't whattheyusedtobe' (excuse the lack of capitalisation, as this is how it is written). The book is a gentle trip down memory lane for Philip, and compares various components to life in the 70's and 80's with their counterparts today. It is cleverly done, with each chapter lasting no more than three pages, but with a heading that gives a hint as towhatto expect from ...
Advantages: You don't need to re-straighten time after time, can create thing whispy curls very easily. Disadvantages: Damages hair, very expensive, yuo can get better for your money with babyliss.
Alot of people seem to think Ghds are the best hair straightners you can get. Well, no theyare not. I have 3 Ghds, 1 pink, 1 rare and the other one black, I also have remington and babyliss straightners. My babyliss ones cost around £20 whilst each Ghds cost at least £80. Tobe honest my babyliss is much better, it curls easier and it straightens alot better. Obviously you have to go over the hair alot and re-straighten it with babyliss, and with Ghds you only do it once, but in the long run Ghds can damage your hair more as the temprature is very high. I seem to see that if you prep the hair before straightening so it looks greecy, the babyliss straightners work alot better and my hair stays straighter for longer. Obviously this is my opinion, so try it out for yourself. ...
Advantages: None that I can think of (apart from Max Clifford' wallet getting bigger) Disadvantages: Where do I start?
at least they would have something interesting to feature in their film.
They were trying touse me as an escape goat (Jade on Big Brother)
I hope I?m not sounding callous, but let?s get real here. I would understand a little ITV documentary, but a film? Really? I think I?d have to examine who in their right mind would actually go and see it. And who in their right mind would actually star in it:
Jade Goody: Fizz from Coronation Street?
Jack Tweedy: Pete Doherty?
Jeff Brazier: That blonde guy from S Club 7?
Her Mum: Pete Burns?
The kids: Zippy and George?
Max Clifford: Satan?
From what I know about Jade?s life ? is it really that interesting? Wouldn?t a film about the life of Big Brother?s transsexual, Nadia, be more interesting, to see her journey from male to female? At least it would be enlightening, I suppose. The thing that bothers ...
