This film is one of the best i have ever seen when i first seen this me and my brother watched it on sky movies. I remember being so bored and for some reason assuming this film wouldn't be that great. I can honestly say i have never been more wrong, i have seen this film many times since and it still moves me to tears every time. I am not a weepy person, i don't cry easily at films but i think even if you are the toughest person who never cry's at films, you will be emotional once you have have seen this. Its a extremely moving film and very thought provoking too it really does get you thinking about life and sends a overwhelming message in my opinion it says there is no guarantees.

A Walk toRemember remains my all time favorite movie. Sure the plot holds a common thematic element to many other movies- the perfect couple who gets separated by death. Sure it is a typical cliché in many love stories: The cool guy and the nerdish girl start going out. But what, according to me really really differentiates this movie from any other movie is the pure undiluted charm and chemistry between the actors.

Advantages: sweet, fun, romantic comedy, shane west is nice on the eyes. Disadvantages: makes you cry, which is not always a bad thing.
Like most book to film dvds you always tend to prefer the book if you've read it and that is what happends here. Also I knew the twist to the storyline which does wreck it slightly.
Nicholas Sparks wrote this book and it was set in the early 20th century but Adam Shankman who directed this film set it in the modern day. The storyline is slightly predictable, but if you love a rom-com it is totally for you.
I watched this with a group of mates first, I knew exactly what the film was about, because I've read the book but had to keep quiet because of everyone else.
