Advantages: Thought provoking Disadvantages: Not everyones cup of tea
It is not often that you can read a book and wish that you had been presented with the chance of reading it many years earlier, certainly I think that if I had been able to read Tim Harford book "The Logic of Life: The Rational Economics of an Irrational World" to give it it's full title, my teenage life in particular may have been a lot more enjoyable. Sadly the book was only printed this year so it is rather too late but if, dear reader, you find yourself inhabiting the body of a spotty faced teenager with raging hormones and no one prepared to let you share them, or maybe a frustrated male who craves a certain kind of physical connection then this book may hold out some hope for you especially if you can convince your loved one, or anyone of the opposite sex to read it. Let me explain what I mean.

This is the first poem I've published on Ciao, so firstly I'm sorry if it is in the wrong place!
I've writen poetry for as long as I can remember, sometimes, to release an emotion, sometimes for my own entertainment, and sometimes for other peoples.
This poem is semi-fictional; It's a situation that could have easily happened, and maybe I wished it did.
I wouldn't describe it as a love poem, although it can be put into that genre. I started it by messing around with words, and suddenly they all fell together!
I hope you like it. If you do... I'll put up some more poems shortly.

a category E oven for 2 sets of 5½ mins, turning between sets. In either case it is cooked directly in the tray, and there is no film lid to pierce or remove. I always microwave mine as, if I had the time and energy to cook anything for 45 minutes, I?d cook it from scratch. By the end of the first cooking period, an interesting smell is beginning to emanate from the microwave. It is chickeny, and not too chemical or overpowering. There is a definite whiff of onion too, but nothing that makes me think potato. A cursory inspection reveals the potato topping is still grey, as it is when the microwave pings to tell me the pie is ready to eat.
Removing the pie from the oven, it is beginning to smell quite tasty. The grey potato is a bit off-putting, and doesn?t match the beautifully browned, fluffy potato in the picture on the box. I ...
