    Advantages Advantages Well produced album brimming with ideas

    This album marked a departure for Blur in many senses. First of all guitarist Graham Coxon quit during the recording sessions having only contributed to one track. Secondly, despite being a quintissentially English pop band Blur chose to record in Morocco and this has clearly influenced their music. Also after the somewhat difficult and downbeat albums, 'Blur' and '13' this record shows a willingness to embrace pop melodies again and has a greater sense of optimism.
