This Is Metal's Most Covered Moments Of The 80's - Various Artists

Mostly from the 80s, not many hits & almost no disco tracks

Advantages: The 6 number 1 records
Disadvantages: The rest of the tracks are rubbish

Well the title itself is a misnomer for starters as the disco era was a fairly short period during the mid 1970's as disco was ousted from the music scene by Punk and the 80's were ruled by 2 Tone Ska then the New Romantics and synth music at least as far as the UK went any way. Disco may have lived on into the 80's in America but it was replaced by electro, hip hop then rap followed by House music. Wikipedia even openly admits that disco died in 1979 but also states "the genre continued to be popular elsewhere during the 1980s", probably in less fashionable countries that hadn't adopted whatever was popular from England or America by then. Take it from someone who lived through all 3 decades, disco was dead and gone by the 1980's. So whats on this album then? 1. High Energy - Evelyn Thomas. This was #1 in a few places in 1984 but ...

School Reunion, The 80's Excellent CD's

Advantages: Ohhh to be young again
Disadvantages: none

the counter and they said you know it is a set of 3 discs. Wow value for money. The cover looks like a black chalkboard and it has School Reunion on in white and then The 80's in pink and underneath it has 3cd's! 60 hits!! in white. The back of the cd cover tells you what is on all 3 cds. The cd was created by Virgin Records which I was a bit surprised at as at first I thought it was a Friends Reunited one. When opening the CD case, there sits all the 3 CDs very similar to the covers but with cd1, cd2 and cd3 on them. They are black in colour. There is a little booklet inside which is tells you the same information that is on the back cover. I have actually got this playing now and I will tell you all the songs and which CD it is on. CD1 1) Queen - I want to break free 2) Wham - Freedom 3) Phil Collins - Easy Lover 4) Madness ...

Review of School Reunion - The 80's - Various Artists

Fantastic 80's 3

Advantages: 2 cd set with some great tunes from the 80's
Disadvantages: a few not well know songs on here

If you remember the 80's and loved the music , then this is defiantley the album for you ... This two disk CD set covers all various artists from 1980-1989 and has a combined forty songs !! not bad eh. There are so many songs and groups on here that a lot of you will remember and it brings back good times for me remembering the school disco's ! My favourites on this album are "hungry like the wolf" that has to be one of mine as a Duran Duran fan, and I have good memories of Billy Ocens "Get outo my dreams, get into my car". Another classic is "Prince Charming" by Adam and the ants. There are a couple of dud songs on here that I did not really enjoy that much, such as "I'm a wonderful thing baby" and "Ride on time" I really hated that song when it came out as it was number one for weeks and weeks and just got on my nerves ...
