...After the long awaited "This is my Promo Vol 2" all eyes were on Sway to out do himself once again with his first Solo album "This is my demo". Sways diverse metaphors and rhythmic style shines throughout this album. Sways album is a mix of hip hop, two step, r and b and rap, also there are certain touches on afro-Caribbean and a great deal of humour. There are a vast amount of subjects in which Sway raps about throughout this album from The effects in which downloading tracks is having on artists in "download", to domestic violence in "pretty ugly husband". This is a solid album with tracks which everyone can relate to. The skits although humorous are not cut at the end of each track which means that there is no option to skip these skits or listen to these skits without listening to the whole of the song or having to fast... ...Browsing through Ciao, as you do, I came across the member Floon. His About Me section stated that his wife had just had a book published. Being the nosy bird I am, I messaged him asking about it. He kindly messaged back telling me that the book was a frank account of his wife’s miserable childhood at the hands of her emotionally abusive adoptive mother. I asked for more details and Les let me know the name of the book, so I pre ordered it on Amazon for £4.95. Les had told me it would be cheaper directly from the publisher but I was too chicken to ring them up, I’m a bit funny about phoning people. ...If you love upbeat music with catchy lyrics that are always stuck in your head, grab "Commit This to Memory" by Motion City Soundtrack. Every song is incredible, and will get you feeling the need to dance. Attractive Today: Great way to start off the CD, definately a catchy song that is always stuck in my head. Although short at only 1 minute, 42 seconds long, it's awesome. Everything Is Alright: The first single off of the album, extremely catchy, and will make you want to dance. When You're Around: A song that probably everyone can relate to. You know, when you have someone in your life that just annoys you, and all you can do is grin and bear it. Another catchy tune.
