Advantages Advantages Some good acoustic tracks

Disadvantages Disadvantages A couple of weak tracks

Bon Jovi released 'This Left Feels Right' in 2003. I would describe it as an acoustic version of some of their greatest hits. Being a fan of Bon Jovi, I bought this album without hesitation, and was quite excited about listening to it. The album came about as the band thought about doing something different for the fans. They played an acoustic gig in Japan, lasting nearly four hours! The gig was recorded and was going to be released, but Jon Bon Jovi wasn't entirely happy with it. Still keen on making an acoustic record, the band brought in Pat Leonard who had worked on the 'Unplugged' albums ... more

Advantages Advantages Relaxed, laid back, a refreshing change perhaps?

Disadvantages Disadvantages Lacks Bon Jovi's original passion and rock backing.

This is Bon Jovi’s first acoustic album release, several of his previous albums have included the odd acoustic song here and there but never a full album. Basically it consists of some of Bon Jovi’s most famous and accredited songs, but with much more emphasis placed on the actual singing and the background moving having faded by quite a large extent. In my opinion it shows off the voices and guitar music much clearer and allows you to fully appreciate it, however it isn’t typical nor reminiscent of Bon Jovi’s typical rock theme that I really love! Therefore I was slightly disappointed by this ... more

Advantages Advantages If you get the limited edition you get a DVD

Disadvantages Disadvantages It's not an unplugged

When it comes to Bon Jovi there is one thing I know and that’s that I’m buying their albums regardless of content. I’ve been a fan for about 15 years, so I have a very consistent Bon Jovi collection. I was really excited with the prospect of having an official unplugged style album… I love the sound of songs being stripped down to their basics and being given that intimate atmosphere that only an acoustic guitar can provide. “This Left Feels Right” (Greatest Hits with a Twist), comprises of 13 songs of which, only the last one is a real unplugged. Bon Jovi released snippets of the songs for ... more

Advantages Advantages Bonus DVD, Some songs are excellent, Bonus tracks - Joey and The Distance

Disadvantages Disadvantages Lacks Bon Jovi Passion, Some of these songs should never be touched

Following three successful tours in the last four years, with the most recent being the Bounce tour, Bon Jovi have finally decided to release their “acoustic” album. After teasing many fans during the last tour by announcing that certain concerts would be acoustic, and the disappointment that some British fans felt at not being the lucky ones to have an acoustic gig played on their home turf, I thought that this album would make up for missing out on the acoustic concerts. Bon Jovi have been my favourite band since I was 10, and I have always loved hearing their songs done in acoustic style ... more
