Advantages: An excellent read Disadvantages: Hard to put down, so nothing else gets done!!
This is another Jill Mansell classic. The cover is white with a window at the top with a girl sitting at it in a blue dress. There is also a window at the bottom of the page with a dog at it. Jill Mansell is written across the page in pink, and 'Theoneyou really want' is written underneath in blue.
The story begins in Edinburgh with Nancy, who knows that before Christmas her husband has been buying jewellery. On Christmas Day itself she receives a sit on lawnmower, which is when she realises he probably has somebody else in his life.
Meanwhile in London, Nancy's friend, Carmen, is getting over losing her husband, Spike, to a drug-related death. His brother, Rennie, arrives at Carmen's and moves in to give her company. Carmen helps Nancy over her troubled marriage by asking her to move into her house in London with her ...

I am reviewing the paperback version of this novel, the first from the pen of Lola Jaye.
The book is published by Harper Collins under ISBN number 0007266553 . The book contains 321 pages and bears the jacket price of £6.99.
The cover is eye catching and modern, a very feminine floral design which fits well with the contemporary fiction/chick lit genre of the novel.
The Plot
Twelve year old Lois Bates is devastated when her mother decides to re-marry. Lois and her mother have been alone since Lois was five years old, following the untimely death of Lois' father, Kevin.

In 1997 The Royal Bank of Scotland and Virgin Direct formed a joint venture and marketed "The Virgin One" to Virgin Direct's 200,000 customers and it was an immediate hit and so in 1998 it was marketed to the general public for the first time. Since then it has continued to be a huge hit. In 2003 it became known as "TheOne Account" and Virgin were no longer involved. From the regular TV ads and poster campaigns most people will have heard of the name but may not know exactly what it is.
