At the moment there are not that many EV vehicles to choose from to compare prices with. The most basic G Wiz vehicle is around £8K but that one might be a bit small for most of us to feel safe in. the new Citroen Evie is about £17K and Vauxhall are putting a car into production. With the £5K incentive then, it is possible to purchase an electric car for a similar price to a small family car. Running costs are of course very different, with the cost of electricity being less than 1p a mile to run. It is also exempt from congestion charging and road tax. However, depending on the battery it uses, there could be a battery lease cost, which could be about £70 a month or so, which is quite significant and could offset the saving in petrol/diesel for low mileage drivers. One Day All This Are Belong to Us?

Advantages: Another promising release from a keen rock band.
Disadvantages: My terrible review title. Someone suggest a better one...

. It starts on a simple piano riff that varies and repeats during the song. Like Grand Unification pt. 2 on the last, this track (for me) is what the album is all about. It's got an amazingly catchy chorus and some lovely melodies. It's only flaw that I can see is suffering from something I will from now refer to as 'Fighstar-syndrome', the strange need for a quiet break down before the last leg. It really isn't done very well on this track. Apart from that it's amazing material, and remains one of my favourite tracks of the last few monthts. Big, doomish, apocalypse music. Deathcar stands out as one of the heaviest tracks on the CD. At the beginning you hear the sounds of Charlie (lead) holding his breath under water then gasping for air, followed immediately by a sudden driving heavy-metal intro. The One Account is an 'offset mortgage' account - basically it combines a standard (current) bank account with a mortgage. This means that, instead of paying interest on your mortgage at a high rate, and receiving interest on your current account and savings at a low rate, the two are 'offset'. There is only one rate of interest involved, and any money you put into the account reduces the amount of interest you pay each month on the mortgage. At the moment (October 2006) the interest rate is 5.95%. Because you have a period of years in which to repay the mortgage, it is possible to vary your monthly payments to reflect your circumstances: if you have a surprise expense - the car breaks down, one of your daughters gets married - you can pay a bit less; if you have a good month - the boss gives you a huge bonus, you benefit from ...
