However: the Mel C effect kicks in about now. It works like this: you get the album and think “Hmmm, Mel C, she was the one with talent” and listen with an open mind and goodwill, but after four or five tracks it all sounds a bit samey and you lose interest. I mean, it’s not bad but it’s background pop or one for the car when you just want some noise on.

Following three solo albums and sales of three million, Mel C is back with 12 new pop tracks, released on her own label, Red Girl Records. This presumably means she got dropped by her record company but at least she’s the only one of the Spice Girls showing any sign of girl power, so all credit to her. It starts off quite well: track one “Understand” reminded me a bit of something else in its guitar sound, U2 maybe, and was a catchy enough rock track. A couple of slower ones followed; track three “Protected” has a nice chorus but it’s co-written with Guy Chambers, the bloke who made Robbie Williams good, and Cathy Dennis, she of Kylie’s “Can’t get you out of my head”. This is followed by the poppier “This time”. A telling comment comes in the Press release, when she says: “I’ve had a lot of success in Europe with ballads and softer sounds.” Hmm, Europe. Home of classic pop. Overall, not too bad but a little dull. Not recommended because there are better things to buy but not a total waste of money either. Not quite.
Advantages: Great album, Amazing voice Disadvantages: None.
and strings are involved and Melanies voice sounds just incredable. This is once masterpiece.

Feel The Sun
The final track on the album and a great song to end with. Another enchanting ballad with great lyircs also show off Melanies voice. The song completes the album in a perfect way and this is another outstanding song.

The most talented female singer by far, MelanieC proves that she is truly a star with this brilliant debut album. Great powerful vocals, great songs and great lyrics make this album a contender of one of the best albums of all time. This album is very mature and not something expected from a Spice Girl, but MelanieC really makes it into her own with this amazing album
A re-release of the album is also avilable with 2 more songs, which are
Never Be The Same Again (Single Version)
erm....i have no idea ...
Advantages: If you like melanie c, just a couple of good songs Disadvantages: if you dont like melanie c, plenty of weak tracks
Well MelanieC is back with album number three. I am lead to believe this has been released for some time now but I didn't really look until the other week when someone mention it to me.
So this is the third offering from the ex 'Sporty spice' Spice Girl. What do I think?
Well the cover and inlay of this cd is pretty dark with very little colour, mainly all in black and white which is quite boring overall. The inlay contains track details etc which is pretty standard for this kind of release. Like I say a bit boring but at the end of the day you don't listen to the inlay do you?! The Cd contains 12 tracks altogether all written by Melanie except for one which was the first single 'Next Best Superstar'
Track one, Beautiful Intentions starts of quite fast, sounding like the start of a rock track until you hear Melanie sing ...
***** THIS IS A REVIEW OF MELANIEC HER ALBUM REVIEW IS SEPERATE AND CAN BE FOUND UNDER MY MORE REVIEWS LINK CALLED BEAUTIFUL INTENTIONS - THIS IS NOT AN ALBUM REVIEW************
Melaniec started in the spice girls as sporty spice well known for her back flips and tracksuit wearing.
for a time she was known as talented spice and was always the one that sung the high notes above the rest.
Melanie 10 years on from the wannabe days is now 30 - yes 30 and still going strong in my opinion she has a new image and new music and i think there is something for everyone on there.
She has co written 12 uk number one singles - more than any other female artist in chart history.
I have read alot of reviews on melaniec and well i must say im highly dissapointed by opinions people have of her NOT reviews but opinions.
