Advantages: It's real music.... Disadvantages: Region 1 only
During a 10-week lay- off while on tour with Sting for his "Brand new Day" album, the featured solo artist on the tour ChrisBotti rented a house in the Hollywood Hills to write and record his "Night Sessions" album, 4 weeks to write and 6 weeks to record and mix.
With this short period of time Chris said, " he felt energized by the challenge" he asked his friend Kipper (who won a Grammy for his production on Sting's album Brand New Day) to co-write and produce, they stated to write and at the end of the writing sessions only recorded the material as the lights of the L.A. basin began to glow and as the sun set and only stopped when the sun came back up the next morning.

Advantages: Great atmosphere, good sound. Disadvantages: Could have listened to more, but this is not really a disadvantage, more praise!

I love music but never would have said I had any interest in trumpet players until recently.
I stumbled upon ChrisBottis music but accident and boy am I glad, his mellow layed back jazz is universal, and chilling.
I got this DVD as quickly as I could after first hearing his music and its great, just turn the lights down and its like being in your own jazz club with some of the biggest names in pop etc if that makes sense.
Chris backed sting during a tour and he appears in this DVD with a fantastic version of Funny Valentine which he sings to his wife in the audience.
ChrisBotti is great, and having seen this I only hope I get to see him live some day. ...
