Three Days Grace are an emo-metal band. This, is their debut album.

Stand out tracks, for me, are 'Just Like You', 'Home' and 'Drown'. These tracks are all very well put-together, the lyrics are amazing, and I can relate to them. I can't say that I dislike any of the tracks, there really aren't any weak links on this albums. No filler!

Three Days Grace share many similarities with the Canadian band, Rush. Their heart-felt, angsty lyrics seem to resonate throughout the album, and the vocal talents of Adam Gontier are amazing. Not a bum note on the album :)

Melodically, think a mixture of loud drums, heavy bass and superb guitar riffs. The melodies tend to steer more towards the metal end of the rock genre, but the lyrics are very much of the emo/screamo persuasion. That said, there isn't a trace of whining, nor does Gontier do too much screaming. The lyrics seem to be the kind that everyone can find some meaning in. A brilliant album to relate to.

The album is very well put together, with no flaws. Happily, it also lacks the sense that it has been choreographed, or overly produced. The songs flow naturally, and you can tell the band believe in what they are playing.

Summary: If you like The Used, old My Chemical Romance, Rush, etc... buy this album. A definite must for any rock fan.
