Advantages: As good as "Kilimanjaro"
Disadvantages: A bit short.

Seems to be about childhood but you never can be too sure ! Ends as suddenly as it began. A slow fuzz guitar line starts "Falling Down Around Me" and is built up with keyboards, drums and bass. Quite a slow plodding song until the band reach the middle eight, when a horn section adds real fire to the proceedings! Towards the end Cope starts his "Ba da da " trade mark singalong bit. An acapella "ba da da ba da da da" starts off "The Culture Bunker" until a guitar thrusts its way into the song. With horn section stabs punctuating the lines as the tune unfolds.Cope name checks his old band, "Waiting for the Crucial Three, wondering what went wrong". A longing for the old days? Who knows? ...This album is a collaboration between McDermott's 2 Hours, often cited as a major influence on the levellers, and two of the levellers, namely Jeremy and Charlie. I bought this album because i love the leveller's music and was curious to see what this album was like and the first time i listened to it i have to admit to wondering what i had done! but then i listened to it again and realised, as the music and lyrics crept into my head and stayed there, that i had been mistaken, this was a very, very good album. ...to and is rightfully the third single released, although it is not correct that it should only peak at #43. Young Jeezy was quick to throw himself on an official remix of the track, and I wonder if his recent appearance on huge tracks by Usher and Mariah Carey has anything to do with his friendship with The-Dream. Knowing people in high places certainly helps. *03, Fast Car (4.50), 3* *04, Nikki (4.06), 2* *05, She Needs My Love (4.30), 4* I am very sceptical about the name of a track when its called 'Fast Car', as it immediately makes me think of 'Shut up and Drive', which was a bit of a rock-out track. 'Fast Car' is refreshing, leaves a good taste in my mouth, and doesn't even knock me down with 100mph speeds. The track feels as though it's doing under the speed limit, and following the highway code to the letter of the law as he waits... Read review
