Advantages: That old magic's still there... Disadvantages: ...but not often enough
original to TFWD, but first saw the light of day in a 1975 anthology, "Richard Adams's Favourite Animal Stories" and is reprinted here pretty much verbatim. It's a solid enough tale, but most readers are likely to enjoy more the following chapter, "Speedwell's Story", a light-hearted and funny piece of nonsense.
Part II also concerns itself with El-ahrairah, but the four stories found here form part of a larger narrative, recounting some of the great rabbit hero's adventures (with his faithful companion Rabscuttle, naturally) on the long and arduous journey home from their trip to see the Black Rabbit of Inlé, as recounted in Watership Down itself. Again, however, most of the stories seem lacklustre, and really only one - "The Story of the Great Marsh" - rises above the average.
In both Part I and Part II, the stories are presented as ...
Advantages: Get's feelings down on paper Disadvantages: More poetry?
Here is a small collection of poems that really came from the heart and really made me feel better once I had written them!
Incomplete circle
All I feel is empty inside,
A contradiction considering I'm full.
Ironic because I could have lied
The truth has never felt so dull.
I touch but I can't seem to feel,
I ponder without a thought in my head
Suddenly reality feels to real
Who ever thought I could have been so easily led?
Too quick to judge others mistakes,
Too naive to believe it could happen to me.
All the kisses were all just fake,
Yet I was the one that just couldn't see,
How you tapped into my insecurity
And promised it was love that you felt.
If only you had let me be free
Then with these emotions I could have dealt.
Unfortunately once is enough,
And twice is definately pushing your luck.
Nobody ...
My beloved husband had a heart attack last week. It was the scariest afternoon of my life from the moment he called me at work to say he?d had severe chest pains for over 3 hours and did I think he had swine flu, me telling him to put down the phone immediately and call an ambulance with his exact location to me getting through to the hospital over 2 hours later to find out he?d indeed had a heart attack but had been treated and was stable and in recovery.
MY THOUGHTS ON ALL THIS?
My dear heart
Please always look after you.
You are so important to me, like you would not believe.
The thought of you not being around forever scares me more than you can ever imagine, like dying 1000 deaths at the same time.
You might have quit smoking 5 years ago but the damage was already done.
You might have changed your diet ...

Album Notes
Personnel: Bela Fleck (banjo). Audio Mixer: Bela Fleck. Audio Remasterer: Richard Dodd. Recording information: Bogolon. The discography of banjo maestro Bela Fleck is full of eclectic music that ranges from traditional bluegrass to forward-thinking jazz to world fusion. THROW DOWN YOUR HEART is the third volume in Fleck's TALES FROM THE ACOUSTIC PLANET series, one that documents his travels in Africa. Fleck recorded in Mali, Senegal, Gambia, and Uganda, among other countries, drawing on the musical traditions of those countries and adding his own restlessly inventive imagination. Among his 40 guests are Baba Maal, Toumani Diabate, and Oumou Sangare, along with numerous outstanding musicians not known outside their native countries. The results don't have much in common with Fleck's wackier hybrid forms; instead the music is sincere, straightforward, and very beautiful. Fleck also made a film of his sojourn, for which THROW DOWN YOUR HEART serves as the soundtrack.
