Advantages: A good introduction to sacred music
Disadvantages: A rather niche album on which those into the genre will find nothing new

cheaper discs. I've always found Naxos to be reliable and, indeed, some of my favourite versions of classical pieces can be found on this label. One thing to note, if you're not overly familiar with classical music, is that the recording can make all the difference. The variation in interpretation of the musical score can be as varied as thinking of all the cover-versions of popular songs - no two are ever the same. Requiem is subtitled "music for Reflection and Meditation". It takes various well known settings of the requiem mass, together with a couple of other fitting pieces and puts them together in one place. If one is so minded, one should note that this album is NOT a requiem mass. The pieces don't follow in the right order but, having said that, to the knowledgeable, the whole album stands on its own as a good religious set ...

Review of Scarface (Music Inspired By The Movie) [PA] - Various Artists

Way back into Music- Music and lyrics soundtrack.

Advantages: Easy listening
Disadvantages: None.

Music and Lyrcis; Not only a quality film but an even better soundtrack. Including songs created for the film performed by both Hugh Grant (who actually has a great singing voice!) and also Drew Barrymore who adds to the fun of the album. This album was created in order to demonstrate the songs from the hit film. The songs are upbeat, happy and just damn good fun. A classic example would be the song 'Pop! Goes my heart' if you've seen the film then listening to this soundtrack will without doubt make you want to shake that pop hip. Just like most of other of Grant's films this is indeed a romantic comedy however more so comedy. This is emphasised in some of the lyrics expressed. Such as from 'Don't write me off just yet', 'Now I need you; despite the fact that you've killed all my plants.' The songs on this album are fun ...
