Advantages: 'Spirit of '87' and 'David Courtney' are greatly impressive. Disadvantages: Much of the album is hugely disappointing and lacking in any real energy or life.
...'Indestructible' is the 2003 release from the Californian Punk band Rancid. The band formed in 1991 and have since then released a grand total of six studio albums. They have another in the pipeline planned for release in 2008, however it is as yet untitled. The first thing that struck me when I first bought this album is that the bands singer Tim Armstrong is credited as 'Tim Armstong' in the booklet that accompanies the release, quite a glaring error to overlook really. I have never been much of a fan of this album, and right from the offset the album shows strong signs of being a great disappointment.
Beginning with title track 'Indestructible', it is instantly apparent that this album is a lot more destructible than the title would lead you to believe. 2003 was not only the year that Rancid released this album, but also the year...

A Dream Review ofAdiemus: Songs of Sanctuaryby
Misha13
Advantages: Calming, peaceful Disadvantages: none
...This Adiemus album is truly timeless. Musically the caressing of sound takes you away. The voices on the album have a range which exceed that of regular every-day pop bands, as it goes from very low to high pitches, all by the same singer. Calming, rubust, meditative, it has everything you could want from an album without real lyrics, but where the voice is used solely as an instrument. The single from this album, (Adiemus), had a power and a refreshing effect on it's listener. Sadly there are a lot of other tracks on the CD (such as "Hymn"), which didn't make it as a ingle, but should have. if you don't have this CD yet, go get it today....

In the early days the band members were know for wearing wild, colorful costumes and sported a variety of odd hairdos, however, it was when Tim's brother Neil Finn penned his seductive "I Got You," that the band finally broke through in the mainstream - the single and album hit number one in Australia and New Zealand, eventually selling 200,000 albums in Australia which led to an international deal with A&M Records.
Neil and Paul Hester (the drummer from Split Enz) went on to form the internationally successful Crowded House and then Tim and Neil Finn...
