I gotta get some action... now!
Review of Supershitty To The Max - Hellacopters (The) by  bandcamp

Advantages: pure unadulterated rock 'n' roll
Disadvantages: risk of neck injury through headbanging or skinned knees through air guitar solos

...Rock Album Of The Year) was released there in 1998. Having toured with The Dictators and KISS, and featuring on split records with fellow Scandanavians Gluecifer and The Flaming Sideburns, New York's Electric Frankenstein, and Holland's The Nitwitz - all to spread the word and wisdom of rock and f***ing roll. As with most bands, some feel that a band's first album will be the best out of any other offerings as it will be the band at their most raw and 'hardcore', and with the Hellacopters this does seem quite true if you compare Supershitty To The Max with, say, By The Grace Of God. Although upon saying that, the latest album 'Rock And Roll Is Dead' has just been released and for all I know, it could kick Supershitty's proverbial arse. As per the liner notes (although the lineup has changed The Hellacopters are: NICK... Read review

Electric Demons with Naked Pictures of Your Mum
Review of Fire - Electric Six by  Champ666

Advantages: I Give The Orderes Here
Disadvantages: I Do Not Have Glowing Genitals

...twisted lyrical sentiment who cares if the song is wrong on so many levels the champ is on the floor and he has “got something to put in you” and you know that when the champ is in this mood then there is going to be a “Nuclear War (On The Dance Floor)”(1)…. This is a hard rocker and apparently electric love ain’t no sex crime……….. “Getting into the Jam” is a great piece of white funk with hard rock dispersed into it, but really by this time the album seems to be loosing its inspiration as with “Vengeance and Fashion” it seems that a great idea is now being stretched to it’s elastic limit, but the “I’m the Bomb” comes in with its’ laid back funky guitar is this enough to bring us back to the floor yes cause I’m a man with 20 dollar bills. The final Track “synthesiser” sounds like dodgy 80’s disco and this is only wrong if you take... Read review

Now - and that's an order!
Review of Now (2002) - Noa by  TheChocolateLady

Advantages: The mixture of genres, her voice, Gil Dor's arrangements
Disadvantages: There's one track that's only OK and one that isn't totally great, but that's all.

.... A quick look at the back of the case, and you'll immediately notice that the songs are listed more like chapters of a book than songs in a collection. There's an prologue, then a group of songs (chapters, if you will), and finally a two-song epilogue. Yes, Noa has decided to tell a story here, and while the plot may not be the most self-evident in the world, I think that she certainly has something to say. Let's take a look at this one, track by track. Prologue: "Missing Your Heart" - this one starts out with a very electric sound to it and quickly dissolves into the fusion between genres that Noa is so famous for. The words speak about a relationship that's not quite exactly what it should or could be. With lyrics like "and me, I only want to hold you/ and to tell you its ok/ though it really makes me sad/ every time you turn away... Read review
