Pro"If There's Any Justice"

ConsMany duff songs!

This is the follow up to the award winning debut album Dedicated by Lemar. Lemar is most famous for coming 3rd in the first series of BBC's Fame Academy to winner David Sneddon and Sinead. Now both of them have been eclipsed from the music scene and Lemar is holding strong with awards and praise...

ProGreat tracks,

ConsA couple of weaker links and not enough ballads

**Introduction** This is the second album from Fame Academy's Lemar. After the success of his debut album Dedicated he returned to the studio to record his follow up Time To Grow. The album was released in November of 2004 after being recorded throught that year. The album has been certified...

ProTime to grow

ConsSame kind of songs

Lemar was one of the lucky ones to come off a boring Reality TV programme. I have to admit that I didn't actually watch Fame Academy so I can't say I voted for him, that I cheered him on, and I deffo can't say I wanted him to win for the start. I don't lie. But anyway, he did well soon after Fame...

“Lemar...time to grow”

published 01/01/2005

Prohis voice is amazing

Conssome tracks are abit weird.

Lemar certainly has had his time to grow. After his first album (which I very much disliked) his come back with a american/ english soulful but husky sound.... and it's all good! He is an amazing singer and since fame academy I've loved him! He's never really been recognised for his effortless...

ConsLemar sounds too comfortable on some of these song...

This is Lemar's second album to be released after finishing third on the BBC's talent show 'Fame Academy'. This is a beautifully put together album with some amazing soul songs and a few nice upbeat r&b tracks. Lemar has a gorgeous voice and sometimes, I feel, does not challenge himself as much...

Progood songs, nice to listen to when ur chillin

Consa bit too 'poppy'

Lemar has a very distinctive husky voice and i think he's fantastic.. this album has some lovely songs on it - i never personally liked if theres any justice so much but the album title track 'time to grow' is really nice n has deep lyrics.. there one song that seems to be dedicated to an unborn...

ProSoulful and earful music

Conssame kind of song every track

Lemar Obika must be thanking his lucky stars he only came third on Fame Academy. Instead of being railroaded into tacky cover versions and novelty Rat Pack albums, the north Londoner has actually been given time to develop his own style - and on Time To Grow, he's come up with something very...

ProLemar continues to show his sublime vocal talents

ConsSome tracks are too poppy for a R&B audience.

Fame Academy bronze medalist, Lemar, is back with his second album after the nationwide success of Dedicated. On this showing it's hard no sorry impossible, to tell how David Sneddon and that other one managed to beat him to the prestigious title of Fame Academy champion. Time to grow continues...

Satisfactory

ProOne great track.

ConsEleven boring ones.

Lemar may have finished third on the BBC's 2002 talent show Fame Academy (David Sneddon won it) but you have to give him credit for going on to have a successful recording and live performance career. All of that said, in my opinion, the only good (bordering on great) track on this album is "If...
