Album Notes: Carrying a weighty concept throughout, the acclaimed Seattle-based duo known as Common Market presents 18 tracks of compellingly positive hip-hop on their sophomore, LP TOBACCO ROAD. Agricultural images dominate RA Scion's verses as the MC flips metaphors that speak of harsh farm-life, everyman struggles against faceless financial behemoths, and a reverent dedication to cultivation, while producer Sabzi sets cinematic beatscapes utilizing a bevy of choice soul and jazz samples, piano loops, and moody xylophone arrangements. Ambitious in style and content, TOBACCO ROAD is another triumph from the outstanding indie rap duo. Chev and Geologic of the Blue Scholars are featured.
Album Reviews: Spin (p.104) - 3.5 stars out of 5 -- "DJ/producer Sabzi tethers the MC's sharp-elbowed observations with folksy samples and bluesy soul beats."
Advantages: Fascinating, colourful, might get to sample some Croatian foods, shop for a picnic Disadvantages: Can't buy some things if you're in a hotel
...and household goods.
Maybe you come from or live in a country like Italy or Spain where good produce markets are quite common; if you do Dolac might not be as exciting for you as it is for me. However, I would still recommend a mooch around the market to foodies and really to anyone interested in seeing a bit of Zagreb life. It?s colourful and compelling and great fun...

Advantages: Good atmosphere, long opening hours Disadvantages: Not everyones sort of thing
...It's not often that I am overly impressed by the new bars that open in Sheffield. They come and go frequently and often change names overnight. The Common Room is however one such place that I did walk into and say "wow!" because its discreet entrance offers no hint of what is to be found inside.
Located on Devonshire Street next to The Forum shopping complex this is a place that lies right in the heart of the city centre's student quarter. The Forum shopping complex has built up a reputation in recent years as a place to hang out and be seen and there are many small expensive boutique style shops whilst The Forum bar is a frequent haunt of the city's pop stars (past and present) and you even might spot a footballer or too as well.
The Common Room opened in 2006 and occupies the area above both The Forum Bar and the shopping centre...

Advantages: Brilliant for cheap clothes Disadvantages: Gets quite busy
...I'd never heard of this market until I moved in around the corner, and now go there every week.
Roman Road is brilliant even when the market is not on for buying clothes, there are loads of small clothes shops - one caters for larger sizes, one for leather clothes and loads of places doing funky clubbing stuff. Most of it is an R&B high fashion vibe, but there are a lot of interesting little finds. The makeup shop mentioned in the other review is great, and there are also some great shoe shops. Roman road is also the place for some surprisingly good one pound style shops.
The market is mainly full of clothes, bags and shoes, although there are also toys and general houseware stalls. My favourite stall has jewellry for 20p each - it's constantly packed, but you can find your way there by listening out for the cockney stall...
