...If only he would! No, seriously this album isn't what you'd expect. It's not folky or religious in any way. I like Daniel's voice to be honest but I've never really liked any material until now. The album is a series of cover versions from the 1950s, 60s and 70s as the title suggests. It's may be rock 'n' roll but don't expect it to be anything that would shock Granny. ...Daniel O'Donnell for a long time has been one of my top preforming artists.. I just simply love his clean fresh approach to the music world,, this man has all the qualities of a very genuine classic singer, his style, his clean strong but gentle voice and his love he has for his audience. The number of times I have seen this man in concert along with his female co-singer Mary Duff, he has always had his audience captivated with his preformance and the way he will work his way round the audience shaking hands and giving the odd kiss on the cheek of his many adoring fans. This man is a singer whos audience seems to vary widley,, he has even had children come to see him preform, some have come along with their parents and have been under 5, and then he seems also to appeal to a lot of the elderly.. ...After returning Daniel Bedingfield's album - Gotta get thru this to my CD player for the umpteenth time I decided to have a go and writing a review about it and 'spread the joy' of his album! This album explores a multitude of genres, the tracks range from the dance/club type to tracks with a more rockier feel with a few ballads thrown in. The album is excellent and upon listening to it you wouldn't think it was created in Daniel's own bedroom (in his boxershorts)! And on a side note the cover and inlay is pretty fab too.
