Advantages: everything, it's Edguy damn it Disadvantages: only five tracks
...King of Fools [EP] A review by Addy- WARNING (This review contains some expletives)
THE BACKGROUND
I was sitting back reading my Avantasia, The Scarecrow review and whilst thinking I thought to myself, have I done enough to educate the masses to the delights of Tobias Sammet, Avantasia and Edguy? and the reality hit me.....Hell no. As mentioned in previous reviews Edguy is a brilliant power Metal band from Germany. Edguy released the King of Fools [EP] Back in Feb 10th 2004 on Nuclear Blast Records and is the first of two [EP] to date with the second one being Superheroes in 2005. King of Fools [EP] consists of five tracks.
Album created by
Tobias Sammet - Lead vocals
Tobias 'Eggi' Exxel - Bass Guitar
Jens Ludwig - Lead Guitar
Dirk Sauer - Rhythm Guitar
Felix Bohnke - Drums

Advantages: A Catchy Mix Of Southern Style Musics Disadvantages: The Vocalist's Style May Not Be Your Cup Of Tea
...the album is about.
Similarly powerful rock/Rhythm&Blues tracks "Spiral Staircase" and "Molly's Chambers" add a bit of bite towards the end of the album.
The rhythmic volatility of "Genius" will leave a few a little disoriented until the chorus, where the king's distinctive sound really comes into it's own. We say goodbye to this sublime album with "Holy Roller Novocaine", from their first EP, and "Talihina Sky". For those who can wait the eight minuites to hear the final hidden track, i would advise against it; it's is good, but not in the same league as the rest of the album.

Advantages: first drafts of the reformed 1990s Crim material Disadvantages: a little directionless at times
...The first calling card from the reformed 1994 Double Trio version of King Crimson, this is a decent length ep of the first new Crim material for ten years.
The double trio consisted of two guitarists two bass players and two drummers - Robert Fripp and Adrian Belew on guitars, Tony Levin and Trey Gunn on bass and stick, and Bill Bruford and Pat Mastelotto on acoustic and electronic percussion.
And what a glorious noise they make! From the first blast of "VROOOM" you realise that Crimson is back with a vengeance. A mix of nineties math rock with liberal doses of seventies prog (think of an updated "Red" or "Larks' Tongues In Aspic II" and you're getting close) and it is clear that no-one can create music quite like this in the way that King Crimson can.
After the heady blast of the title track we are treated to a variety of music...
