Bowie does an about face from his triumphant "Let's Dance", returning with his worst album yet, quite possibly one of the worst rock records ever made. For some reason a lot of the songs David and Iggy Pop wrote or co-wrote for the latters 1977 album find their way onto here. Why?

Opening track Loving The Alien is solid, Bowie fare, but after that it is downhill all the way.

ALERT ALERT ALERT ****1977 Iggy Pop Castoff Number 1 Ahead***** yep, here it comes an awful cod-reggae revamp of Don't Look Down. More like Don't Turn The Volume Up, Please.

Topping even the former for mind numbing awfulness we have God Only Knows!!! God only knows indeed why this awful cover made it onto this album, as DB turns one of pop's all time great songs into a kareoke singalong.

Wait...surely the great Tina Turner can save the day? No. Tonight, a duet by the Great Pair, is so bad even Westlife would turn it down.

ALERT ALERT ALERT*****1977 Iggy Pop castoff number 2 ahead***DB turns the Iggy Pop rocker Neighbourhood Threat into a bog standard track not even fit to be a B side. Fee fee fi fi fo fo fo fo indeed!

The best known track on here, the single Blue Jean, just about manages to pull it off. But don't expect this to be found on too many Greatest Hits collections.

Tumble and Twirl has the back up band at least having a go at a quite jolly little tune about the good people of Borneo. At least it's a little bit interesting to listen to.

Oh my gawd....I Keep Forgetting, I think this is a cover of some 50's song. "I keep forgetting you don't love me no more", sings Dave. More like I keep forgetting to put s**t songs like this onto my albums.

The dreadful mess of Dancing With The Big Boys ends this record, leaving the listener sitting in his armchair in stunned silence. Where did it all go wrong?
