He was by no means your contemporary Rock Star, he almost lived in the fantasy worlds he had read about in the early years, fixated on dreams and things that couldn't be, but then don't we all a little. ...a throwback and feels like it has been ripped-off from an old John Carpenter score. ?Tormented? is a failure of a horror comedy that shoots itself in the foot by trying to be ?down with the kids?. The direction suffers from juddering shifts in tone, the writing lacks any original twists and showcases a lack of characterisation and a poor grasp of dialogue. The acting is of variable quality and shows what happens when a director doesn?t give a young cast enough support. It isn?t funny enough to be considered a comedy or scary enough to count as a comedy. Oddly I suspect it will appeal to the fifteen to eighteen year-old demographic, if only because of the cast. But for hardcore horror fans, there?s nothing to trouble your dreams.... Read review

...rated as a PG. It's made in the 30s before sex and violence were invented. (Yet again by the Nazis.) Tormented Tormented is the film that makes buying this DVD worthwhile. It tells the story of Tom a jazz pianist (and lighthouse keeper?) who lives on a small island off America. It hosts a small happy population and Tom is engaged. However, one night an old girlfriend of Tom's, Vi, turns up. She still loves him and doesn't want him to get married. When he doesn't show any interest she blackmails him with letters of his she has kept. They argue at the top of a lighthouse when suddenly the rail breaks and Vi falls over. Tom has a chance to save her as she hangs on but decides to let her fall. The next day he swims out to get her body. When he brings it in it mysteriously turns into seaweed on the beach.
