How I (kind of) Lived a Year on Just £1 a Day
Review of How I Lived a Year on Just a Pound a Day - Kath Kelly by  Cinny91

Advantages: Good for people cutting back who live in a City
Disadvantages: No help to people who are already seriously Frugal.

...I was bought this book by my parents for Christmas last year, after hearing snippets of her on the TV and reading about her in the news papers I was pretty excited to read the book and found out how she did it. £1 a day? For a year? I mean, that's pretty got to be inspirational! The book starts with Kath Kelly complaining to her friends how she has no money, and desperate to get her brother a unique wedding present she declares she'll live on £1 a day for a year to do it. Of course, it's not really £1 a day. It's £1 a day 'spends' after paying all her bills. Not all that inspirational afterall, as a frequent visitor to the money saving forum you come across people in completely dire situations who barely have two 1p coins to rub together, yet still manage. And without writing a book about it. Still, I read on! The book is set... Read review

the best in town , a new high for the blackout
Review of Best In Town, The [Digipak] - Blackout (The) by  maxymace

Advantages: delivers some awesome songs and an overall great sound
Disadvantages: a few bad songs thrown in

...the best in town is the second full album released by the welsh post hardcore band , the blackout. Having listened to the previous album i had high hopes for the album although this is the first album on their new record label Epitah so my concern was that they would keep the right formula. The unique 6 member band fshowcase welsh talent for post hardcore rock music, their real unique feature is that of two singers for screaming and melodies which adds up to a very polished and individual sound. This album , the best in town proves to me that the success of the first full album was no fluke delivering a powerfull sound with heavy guitar riffs and scorching screamo amongst the melodic singing. The addition of a guest singer who is the lead singer of youmeatsix was also a pleasent surpirse when listening to the album. Tracklist: 1.Shut-the... Read review

We'll Live And Die In These Towns- BEST ALBUM EVER
Review of We'll Live And Die In These Towns - Enemy (The) by  sean1234567890

Advantages: Lyrically Inspired, No Bad Tracks!
Disadvantages: You'll never be able to stop listening!

...This is the Number ONE debut album from indie Coventry boys The Enemy. I bought the album 3 hours before they played at the Coventry Godiva festival and I am also seeing them at Leeds festival! This album is definitly the best debut album I have heard this year. We\'ll live and die in these towns (named after a graffiti tag spray painted in a toilet) is full of great songs, musically and lyrically. Everybody has heard "Away From Here" and "Had Enough" on the radio. Catchy to say the least, these were good choices or single releases, but werent by far the best on the album. Tom Clarke (Lead Vocals and Guitar) sings about the bands experience, working 9-5 to get minimum wage and growing up on the streets of Coventry. There are a number of simple yet catchy guitar riffs, mimicked by Andy Hopkins, (Backing vocals and Bass... Read review
