Advantages: More good adiemus music Disadvantages: A few not so good tracks
...(Courante) - This is an amazing piece of music and a great opening to the CD. Right from the start it is able to catch your interest, even though it is being sung A Capella (without musical accompaniment) and the interest still holds throughout the first section, and into the second section where there is a great accompaniment to the words. This is definitely one of my favourite tracks on the CD and is just amazing to listen to.
2. Un Bolero Azul (Blue Bolero) - This is another good song, that in my opinion sounds similar to Ravel's Bolero - the one that the skaters danced to and got the perfect score - it has a similar sort of sound to it, but then I suppose that would be expected seeing as the both have the word Bolero, and that is a type of Spanish dance (and probably why the track has a Spanish title). The Album
NOCTURNE (3.11) features Gunnhild Tvinnereim (vocal) Asa Jinder (Keyfiddle), Hans Frederik Jacobsen (whistle), Petter Skavlan (lyrics)

PASTORALE (3.47) features Davy Spillane (Low whistle)
This opens with the low whistle and continues with violin/orchestra pulling your soul down wooded passages and green fields, from start to finish a 'soulful' track.
SONGFROM A SECRET GARDEN (3.32) features David Agnew (oboe)
A gentle piano which drifts into quiet violin...

Advantages: Opens up emotions in me. Disadvantages: May not be your cup of tea.

The second song on the album is called Mummers Dance which is a little weird as a title, although again it follows the irish roots and the lilt of her voice is magnificent. This is a little more up tempo though a relaxing song, and for those who find relaxation difficult as I do, this song is a real breath of fresh air.
After that, you have Skellig which is instrumental at the beginning with traditional irish instruments, and down tempo from the next track. It gives me visions of hills and landscapes and I love listening to this in the car.
Marco Polo is a voyage of discovery where east meets west in a wonderful mix of Irish and middle eastern music, entangled into a wonderful mixture that is easy...
