Trances/Drones - Robert Rich

Advantages: Captivating ambient at it's very best!!
Disadvantages: You could very well fall asleep!!

Robert rich has been an innovator in the field of ambient music since the early 80's and has studied at Stanford's Center for Computer Research in music and Acoustics. A true pioneer also in dark , tribal trance music.Giving live performances in caves , planetariums, cathedrals , galleries etc. Including soundtrack music too. ...sound like. These are extrememly difficult to describe as they have such a unique and utterly mesmerising quality which really draws the listner into the minimilistic sonic soundscapes created. Totally relaxing music which quite literally transports you elsewhere. ...Another absolutely fascinating CD from this pioneer of modern ambient electronic ambient music. A music full of innovative electro rhythmic spacey textures and tribal explorations, using here ,some extraordinarily intricate sounding electronics. If you read the titles of the songs below , i think they give you a pretty good idea of what to expect here. A more recent offering this one and as usual , with each release, they just seem to get progressively better. A gem indeed which i cannot recommend highly enough.
