Trash generally focuses on relationships of some kind, whether it be discussing his break up with alcohol (Poison) or the catchy ones geared more at relationships with women (This Maniacs in Love With You, Hell is Living Without You, Only My Heart Talkin', Why Trust You) and then there are the sleazier raunchy type tracks like Bed of Nails, Trash, Spark in the Dark, I'm Your Gun and House of Fire.

Alice Cooper is the original shock rocker and we're not just talking about his stageshow either - he has a tendency to switch styles or topics just when you wouldn't expect it. This was slightly the case with Trash, whilst there was no great change in sound of the music - the lyrical content and subject matter for the tracks was completely different to that of the previous aggression filled album Raise Your Fist and Yell.

All of them rather enjoyable and not a single bad track on the album, not even a single mediocre track on the album - it comes as no surprise that Trash was considered a major comeback for the artist. This album was largely an experiment though and the production work by Desmond Child (Aerosmith, Bon Jovi) brought a sort of well trashyness to the album, a certain amount of cheesyness however I thought that the snarling vocals and guitar solos, not to mention dodgy yet fun videos went along way to making it a very good effort.
I like this album!

Advantages: Every track is excellent Disadvantages: There are only ten tracks
Trash was, and still is, one of Alice Cooper's most popular albums. It reivals other albums like Billion Dollar Babies and Hey Stoopid. There are no boring songs that interrupt you enjoying the more entertaining ones, they are all brilliant. This is my personal favourite album from Alice Cooper, ever (although The Eyes Of is very close).
The artwork is excellent too, with the most well known picture of Alice on the front cover. There are many guest ... ...track listing is given below. Trash is one of the less expensive albums. In most shops you can usually find it for about £10 but I bought my copy from Virgin Megastores for £7.99 which makes it very good value for money. I also have a vinyl copy but I can't remember how much it cost, but I would imagine a couple of pounds more than the CD version.

Advantages: Brilliant Heart Pounding Action Disadvantages: Might Be Too Loud For You
This is a great razor sharp piece of metal shock rock from the master who taught Marilyn Manson all he knows. Raise Your Fist And Yell was released in the mid eighties metal revival period to worldwide critical acclaim. It made AliceCooper a force to be reckoned with once again.
If you have Trash and/or Brutal Planet in your collection then I suggest you add this masterpiece as well. Unlike many metal releases around this period Raise Your Fist And Yell has a timeless quality.
Highlights include :-
Prince Of Darkness, was written for the John Carpenter film of the same name in which Alice starred. A great dark song with a heavy riff.
Roses On White Lace :- Some of Alices greatest lyrics coupled with a brilliant vocal line.
Chop Chop Chop, a creepy mastepiece.
Gail, simply blood curdling.
Lock Me Up, a much ...
Advantages: Probably His Best Album To Date Disadvantages:
AliceCooper - Hey Stoopid
Trashes sequel album proved to be more cerebral than Trash. It wasn't as widely acclaimed as it's predecessor but technically it is a much better album.
1. Hey Stoopid (A Anti Drugs Anthem)
2. Love's A Loaded Gun (Brilliant Lyrics)
3. Snakebite (Great Heavy Rock Track)
4. Burning Our Bed (Outtake From Trash ?)
5. Dangerous Tonight (Brilliant Heavy Track)
6. Might As Well Be On Mars (Light And Shade, A Powerful Ballad)
7. Feed My Frankenstein (Fun Song Sounds Like A Outtake From Trash, This One Appeared In Wayne's World)
8. Hurricane Years (Great Heavy Rock Number)
9. Little By Little (Anthem Rock)
10. Die For You (Great Rock Track)
11. Dirty Dreams (More Echoes From Trash)
12. Wind Up Toy (Interesting, This Song Could Have Been Off Of Welcome To My Nightmare) ...
Advantages: guest vocalists, compact decent polished album Disadvantages: the last track to a degree
of track you would hear on AliceCooper's Trash album. You see, another beauty of these Avantasia albums is that he lets his guests stamp their mark on the tracks and almost own them, whilst the subtle sound of Edguy and Sammet spruce them up and give them an essence on uniqueness.
Devil in the Belfry brings the album back to a more pleasant happier frame of mood, and is a straight forward in your face power metal track.
Cry Just a Little Whilst undertaking this review I listen to the tracks to fully refresh my memory and whilst listening to this track it occurred to me what am I thinking. When I wrote about the other power ballad on the album called What Kind of Love I believed that nothing else could compare with it but Cry Just a Little is a worthy contender. The song starts with the vocals just being accompanied by ...

Recorded at Bearsville Studios, Woodstock, New York; The Power Station, Right Track Recording, Sigma Sound Studios and Mediasound, New York, New York. While Alice Cooper's late-'80s comeback was a success largely on the strength of his ever-popular stage show, his albums of the era, 1986's CONSTRICTOR and 1987's RAISE YOUR FIST AND YELL, failed to reap mass commercial success. All of this changed with 1989's TRASH, his first platinum-certified album in nearly 15 years. The album's top-10 single "Poison" made fans of '80s glam-metal fully embrace Cooper, a man who had almost single-handedly created the genre. As he did on his past couple of releases, Alice worked with one of the day's top producers, Desmond Child, who was known primarily for his songwriting talents (including hits for Aerosmith, Kiss, Cher, and others). Also, TRASH included several guest appearances from some of rock's top names--Jon Bon Jovi and Richie Sambora of Bon Jovi play on "Hell Is Living Without You," while four of Aerosmith's five members appear at various points throughout. Other album highlights include "Bed of Nails," "House on Fire," and the title track.
