Trash was, and still is, one of Alice Cooper's most popular albums. It reivals other albums like Billion Dollar Babies and Hey Stoopid. There are no boring songs that interrupt you enjoying the more entertaining ones, they are all brilliant. This is my personal favourite album from Alice Cooper, ever (although The Eyes Of is very close).
The artwork is excellent too, with the most well known picture of Alice on the front cover. There are many guest performers, such as Jon Bon Jovi and a guitarist from Aerosmith.
THE greatest rock song of all time, Poison, is on this album, and its the very first track. The other really amazing songs on this album include Why Trust You, Bed Of Nails and I'm Your Gun.
If there is any problems with this album its that there are only the ten tracks, but as they are all superb this should not discourage potential buyers.
I would recommend this album to anyone who hasn't got a copy. It provides an excelletn introduction to Alice Cooper to those who haven't even heard of him. To those familiar with his works, this is a must have album for your collection, it should be the first album you buy.
The track listing is given below. Trash is one of the less expensive albums. In most shops you can usually find it for about £10 but I bought my copy from Virgin Megastores for £7.99 which makes it very good value for money. I also have a vinyl copy but I can't remember how much it cost, but I would imagine a couple of pounds more than the CD version.
1. Poison (One of the greatest ever rock anthems) 2. Spark In The Dark (Song about a lovers' lane) 3. House Of Fire (Features guitarist Joe Perry (from Aerosmith)) 4. Why Trust You 5. Only My Heart Talkin' (A slightly slower song) 6. Bed Of Nails 7. This Maniac's In Love With You (Beautiful song) 8. Trash (The title track, good but not the best) 9. Hell Is Living Without You (Another slightly slower song) 10. I'm Your Gun (Many innuendos but motivating)
For those who are wondering which are the best tracks I have selected my personal favourites from best to worst, and I think many would agree. It may be worth considering, however, that I prefer the faster, more exciting tracks.
Track Preference: 1, 4, 10, 2, 6, 3, 9, 7, 5, 8.
I would also like to say that the order iin which the tracks have been put suit the album very well. It is not one of those albums where a song feels out of place and ruins the whole vibe of the CD. There is also not a single "boring" song that you occasionnally get with some albums.
