...title track Travelling without Moving. The main reason for this is the beginning if the song which is the sound of Jay’s Lamborghini Diablo being started and then accelerated at high speed. This was the only moment that my pulse reached anything higher than comatose whilst listening to the album. ...

Advantages: Some great tracks like 'Cosmic Girl' Disadvantages: Didjeridoo.
Jamiroquai's career is now approaching ten years, but have still to release an album that lives up to the expectations that moments of brilliance suggest Jay Kay is capable of. 'Travelling Without Moving' is another less than solid album from the artist, but again as with earlier and later attempts, it fails to hit the high notes on all occasions. 'Virtual Insanity', the lead single, is a good track, and contains good rhythm and instinctive vocals. ... ...of thing that if Jamiroquai could produce more often, they would be capable of anything. The album is by no means offensive, but Jay Kay's obsession with the didjeridoo can be annoying in tracks such as 'Didjerama'. You think he would have learnt by now that that instrument is not the way forward. 'You Are My Love' is a good song, and the hidden track is also worth investigating. There are certainly reasons for buying this album, but just don't expect ...

Another great album from Jay Kay and the guys. I bought this album after it was recommended by a friend and I am glad they did. This includes such hits as 'Virtual Insanity' and 'Cosmic Girl', which both did well in the charts. There is a mixture of tracks on this album, some better than others, but they all follow the same style of funk. If you've heard his music and you liked the sound of it, this is probably the first album you should buy and ...

Advantages: A brilliant FUNKtastic load of songs that make you want to funk along Disadvantages: TO be honest I love it.
This is a great album, I picked up on jamiroquai a bit late but as soon as i heard this album at a mates house I knew I had to get it! If you like things a little funky then this is the album for you, as a bassisit I just love the way the bass carries some of the songs along, It's lush! The way that Jamiroquai just give you a taste of a song at the beginning and then build it up to an amazing climax of such a mixture of feelings and stlyes, with ballad, ...

Advantages: Makes a good frisbee, you can give it to a relative who you hate for christmas Disadvantages: Listen to it and find out yourself - its crap
What should I say about this, um, don't buy it. I bought this album because of Jamiroquai's previous singles and was really disappointed buy 'Synkronized'. It has to be the worst album in my collection. The only good thing about it is the bonus track 'Deeper Underground'. I would of rather picked a random album off the self than pay for this worthless steaming pile. Save your money or if you want to buy a jamiroquai album buy 'travelling without moving'. Truthfully anything would be better than listening to this. i wouldn't tell my worst enemy to buy this so stay away. ...
Advantages: Haunting melodies, Yemenite accents, velvet vocals, poetic lyrics Disadvantages: Some difficult subject matter on a few of the songs
of her Yemenite roots, Noa brings into this album a bit more of the chords and instruments that make up that side of her heritage. For instance, in the song "Too Proud" there are several bridges which have definite Yemenite overtones which flavor the heavier beat of the song.
But not all the songs on this album are heavy. Noa continues to add her jazz abilities to songs like "U.N.I." and "By the Light of the Moon". The songs "Cascading" and "Space" are also upbeat ones, that compliment this album and make it a very well rounded one indeed.
One interesting piece of trivia about this album is the conductor on this album - Simon Hale - better known for his arrangement work on three albums by Jamiroquai (Synkronized 1999, Canned Heat 1999 and Travelling Without Moving 1996). Hale also worked with Jazz artist George Benson, and this ...

INTRO
Jamiroquai has always been a very successful band in the UK and the rest of Europe, where they ride high in the musical charts. Their latest album "Dynamite" is preceeded by many amazing previous albums, such as "A funk odyssey" and "Travelling without moving". If you liked these albums, you will love what Dynamite has to offer, its great! I have always been a fan of jamiroquai anyway but i would recommend them to anyone who wants some real music that wasnt manufactured.
SONGS
There are 12 tracks on the album, including the hit "Feels just like it should", which was released a few months ago. All of the tracks carry the unique Jamiroquai vibe, which is an ecclectic mix of Electronica/Dance/Jazz/Rock, whilst still remaining different so each track has its own unique personality. I would like to say that there is something ...

Album Notes
Track 13, "Do You Know Where You're Coming From," is listed on the album packaging only as "Bonus Track." Jamiroquai: Jay Kay (vocals); Simon Katz (guitar); Toby Smith (keyboards); Stuart Zender (bass); Derrick McKenzie (drums); Wallis Buchanan (percussion). Additional personnel includes: Simon Hale (conductor, arranger); M-Beat (arranger). TRAVELLING WITHOUT MOVING was nominated for a 1998 Grammy Award for Best Pop Album. "Virtual Insanity" won the 1998 Grammy for Best Pop Performance By A Duo Or Group With Vocal. Hailing from the same neo-R&B scene that spawned Soul II Soul and Brand New Heavies, Jamiroquai continues to filter 1970s soul through a sieve of '90s acid jazz on its third album. Sounding remarkably like Stevie Wonder, singer Jason Kay's airy vocals float over fat bass lines, disco rhythms and lush strings on "Cosmic Girl." "High Times" takes more of a bottom-heavy, P-Funk-meets-the-EWF-horns approach. Other up-tempo jams include "Use The Force," with its Afro-Cuban beat, and the equally funky, scratch-laden title track. Jamiroquai's eclectic bag of influences includes reggae (the loping "Drifting Along") and world music. Two instrumentals center on the otherworldly sounds of a didjeridoo. "Didjerama" is an ambient track that accentuates the instrument's hollow timbre with chirping birds and assorted percussion. "Didjital Vibrations" is quiet-storm music. An unlisted, drum-and-bass collaboration with M-Beat, "Do You Know Where You're Coming From," wraps up this vibrant package of Brit-soul.
Album Reviews
The Source (2/97, p.86) - "...TRAVELLING is essentially about the metaphysics of having a good time....Jamiroquai have a thousand musical tricks up their sleeves; edgy horns laced with jazz intricacies, energetic bass lines and disco rhythms..." Q (10/96, p.164) - 4 Stars (out of 5) - "...Tighter and more compact in its production that the epic funk arrangements of...THE RETURN OF THE SPACE COWBOY....no-one with ears can deny Jason Kay's musicality--he's an extraordinary singer, and proves it here..."
