Advantages: twas something else amongst all U2 albums and blessed are the fruits of its groove Joshua Disadvantages: just another doze of some Irish "silliness" ? accd to snobs
.... On the record sleeve it is noted there that the album is dedicated to the memory of this friend of theirs, whilst the song runs from that predicament it also entail certain symbolical jargon with its lines:
"we run like the river/on to the sea"
--meaning every person's life is ultimately passing away, quite in a fine poetical context - it also pertains to a line in the Bible from the book of Ecclesiastes vii.2b that the living should take it to heart that we would all be encountering death as every person’s destination someday.
In particular it quoted as well from the Bible with regards to Carrol:
"I'd see you again when the stars fall from the sky/

Advantages: Just a great album..what more can I say? Disadvantages: One weak song, and even that's not bad
...SLF's biggest hit, and the one that got them a spot on Top of the Pops. Essentially the song is based around a series of his dad's quotes, and highlights the gulf between parents and their children. Apart from the fact it's a great song, much of its success was that the lyrics struck a chord with a lot of teenagers. Nothing that you like that's not allowed
I've no time to talk about it
All your stupid hopes and dreams
Get your feet back on the ground son
It's exams that count not football teams"
Track 5. Nobody's Hero
This was a song written around Jake not wanting to be seen as any...

Advantages: gentle, inspiring music Disadvantages: none
...see this music as just some sort of relaxation music or something more ingrained in the soul is again down to the individual listener, but in a world that is moving ever from green to concrete grey in colour just keeping the image of the wild places alive is reason enough for making an album such as this. In keeping with the spirit of the whole concept of the project 10% of the profit will be donated to The International Tree Foundation.
Obviously the laid back and relaxing nature of the music makes it anything but a “getting ready for a Friday night out” sort of record, but neither is it lacking in energy and light, but it is in a form that you don’t often find in our urban lives. It is music that is best appreciated whilst sat in the greenery itself, either whilst lounging in the back garden, wandering through...
