'Bones' sadly, not being the 'Radiohead' cover you would perhaps hope for, pleases, despite it's seemingly misguided and aimless direction in which it breaks no new boundaries. A sound not too alien from what Mercury Rev (MR) might make leads us into 'My List'. Slowly slowly paced, building into some long awaited, epic Killers chanting and back to MR more surreal soundscapes. 'The River Is Wild' stirs quiet echoes, oddly, of Deacon Blue?, ( hot dog, jumping frog... Albuquerque )which disperse into this overblown and average song, out of which, The Killers have sponged all they can, leaving it a bit thin.
