It took around 9 years for Disney to release the original soundtrack for Tron. But I would have to say the wait was worthwhile. When I first saw the movie, I was stunned by its computer animation, but picked up on the fact that this music soundtrack was just as good. The movie and the music was like a pioneer for all other of this kind, it. The electronic music creates the kind of cyberspace impression, which really helps shape and interesting and 1st class movie of the time and still holds true until now. While the soundtrack is mainly electric music it still has some orchestral music too. I like most of the tracks in the soundtrack, but I think 'Theme from Tron' and the 'Love Theme' stand out, and the 'Anthem' is one of my favorites of this kind. But what I enjoy most is the variations in the music and just how subtly generates different moods for the plot of Tron, this is what makes it a stunning piece of composing by Wendy Carlos, for me personally. How she managed to create futuristic music and still keep us all in harmony is beyond belief. I can listen to the soundtrack again and again and still not get bored of it, I recommend this soundtrack to everyone who likes/enjoys electronic music
