Advantages: couple of good tracks, collaborating with new names Disadvantages: nothing really new from Craig, only material from previous big name successes

I'm a big Craig David fan; I like what he's done for UK music, and since bringing his name to the market with Artful Dodger, he's simply gone from strength to strength. So when I heard he was releasing a new album, naturally I jumped on the C.D. bandwagon and pre-ordered my first copy of Trust Me. Prior to this, I heard on Ricky and Melvin's Kiss 100's breakfast show, that Craig was going back to his roots and the sounds on his new album were very much like that on his first album, Born To Do It. I couldn't disagree more! After listening to the new album, I must say, I'm a little disappointed. There are a couple of 'good' songs on Trust Me, but compare this to some 'great' tracks on previous 'great' albums! The two songs that are worth listening to and adding to your iPod, ironically, are remakes of earlier hits from some big name stars! I just hope Craig isn't hoping on piggy-backing his material off previously well known successful stuff! Check out tracks 1 and 11 which despite being remakes have some catchy beats and the lyrics are quite clever, but the rest, unfortunately, isn't worth shouting about. Track 4 'Awkward' is literally an awkward track to get into. The first minute and a half is Craig repeatedly saying awkward, then the beats don't kick in till half way through. If you like the fresh, urban sounds of Craig's earlier work, then don't expect that from this album. Trust me... its mostly slow soul with some funky added on, umm, noise!

Quick review of Trust Me - Craig David
One good song that was in the charts on the whole album. Have not heard anything from craig david since the one song he released from this album! Dissappointed as his first album as he released quite a few good songs. Very cheesy songs not a wide enough range of different songs. Would not recommend it to anyone....DO NOT waste your money! I had it for christmas luckily so i did not waste my own money on it. He has tried to make a come back and it has not succeeded! HOPEFULLY! ...

Album Notes
Issued in late 2007 in the U.K. and approximately six months later in the U.S., TRUST ME finds British R&B singer Craig David offering up a polished set of tunes. While the lead single, "Hot Stuff (Let's Dance)," borrows liberally from David Bowie's similarly titled 1980s hit, "Officially Yours" features a breezy, pop-oriented sound, proving that David is up for venturing outside of R&B/neo-soul territory.
