Advantages: remembering all the good times Disadvantages: i'm knackered!
...Went to Turkey last week, and they do like thier 80's music, also they like thier ska music..... This took me back to the days of my old school yard, when we wore black and white jumpers and drew the Madness 'M' on everything!
when i got home i just happened to be in HMV and a 'sale' was underway, i paid 7 quid for one of the best compilation albums ever!
It's got 'too much too young' by the Special AKA, 'the prince' of course by Madness and 'three minute hero' by The Selecter, others were from The Bodysnatchers and The Higsons (remember Tear The Whole Thing Down?) to The Specials, all as good. However, it only has one Madness track and it should have had at least one more of theirs!
It left me slightly out of breath after dancing like a maniac to 18 records! But a bargain all the same :-)
dog i'm old!...

----- So, did I like it? -----
You betcha. I have always been able to take or leave the Beatles stuff. Each of the artists has had the odd song or two I have found myself singing along to. I mean George Harrison sang some great numbers, Paul Macca has sang with frogs and then there's Ringo.........didn't he sing with Thomas The Tank Engine? Don't think I am being flippant, but I still think that Mr Lennon could have sang...

Advantages: their best yet Disadvantages: too short
...I was counting the days from the time that this title was announced and wasn't disappointed on the day it was released.
As with their last 2 albums I approached it wondering whether they were going to better their previous efforts - again, as with All Is Dream, I found that they done more than that.
I came to Mercury Rev in the early 90's when my friend was endlessly playing them but I didn't appreciate them then. It wasn't until I bought Deserters Songs that I realised how different they were. The fact that Deserters Songs was recorded whilst they were all going through cold turkey due to heroin addiction made all the more amazing.
When All Is Dream was realised I was slightly underwhelmed but this album was a grower and I soon found that I liked it more than its predecessor.
The Secret MIgration however is an instant classic in my...
