Advantages: Good translation of the Discworld novel... Disadvantages: ... not as funny as the book
SoulMusic is based on one of Terry Pratchett's Discworld novels (one of the really funny ones!) As with many of the Discworld books, this deals with something from our world ending up on the Disc - in this case, Rock Music?
Or, to put it the way the trolls say it, Music with Rocks In. Literally, they bang a couple of rocks together - and then do it again - and again. It is very funny though lacks the brilliant satire of "The Truth" and "Going Postal", and the dark atmosphere of "Nightwatch", so don't think you're going to be getting on of the more profound or deeper Discworld books here. It's a light, humorous book that doesn't pretend to be anything else. I still view it as being one of the most enjoyable of all the Discworld books ...
