Newcomers of the year, and i reckon newcomers of the last few years. Awsome stuff from the feeling. All it took was one listen to the album and i knew it was great. Here is my view of each song. Ratings i will give out of 5.
1. I want you now 4/5
Great song to open the album with, like most of the songs on the album it has a very catchy chours and the lyrics are perfect. The solo part of the song with the guitar is superb.
2. Never be Lonley 5/5
I think this a really weird song but you have to love it. It seems like it is just one big chorus. There isn't a momment where it goes quiet. And the lead singer show just how much class he has in the main chorus when he literaly starts going crazy with the song.
3. Fill my little world 5/5
This is what The Feeling are all about. This is one of the songs that the album is built around. It maybe cheesy and sound maybe a little bit childish to some people but a catchy chorus means that it is a momment of pure genius. The video is hilariuos aswell, they released the song as their second single and it did really well, making the top 10 i believe it entered at no.7. Great song, it is one of those that can get stuck in your head for ages.
4. Turn the kettle on 2.5/5
Got to say not the best of songs it's ok but a bit boring to be honest not a lot to it. Needed to add a bit more to this song.
5. Sewn 4/5
The first single to be released from the album and once again it reached the top ten, not sure where though. To be honest it took me a few listens on the radio before i got into this song. But once i got into it it was great. One of the slower songs on the album but they show that with this song they can perform a wide range of songs. na na na na na na na na na..... who would have thought that would be so catchy! Great song.
6. Anyone 4/5
Good sond very upbeat which is allways great. Very slow opening but it picks up after about half a minute. good lyrics for this song. im liking it.
7. Strange 6/5
I no ive given it 6 and thats because it is the song of the album . it is a slow sog but it is awsome! The vocals by the lead singer are superb. "We love you all the same" obviously a bit of a love song but the good thing is that it is not to much. Piano plays a big part in this song and the quieter drumming. Towards the end of the song it picks up quite a bit with a louder guitar sound and then it goes back to the chorus. Superb!
8. Love it when you call 5/5
Really great opening, when you here the drums at the begning it sounds like Orson. The lead singer again goes a bit crazy in this song but he shows what a genius he is. really upbeat song a possible single. i think it would do well. Great song.
9. Rose 4/5
Before i had heard any of the album i had heard a loot of good things about this song. listening to it, it took me a few listens to really get into it but now i have it is a great song, very slo again and its all about the piano in this song. hardly any drums. great song.
10. Same old stuff 3/5
Good song not the best on the album very different to the rest of the album. interesting variety of sound to this one.
11. Helicopter 3/5
Again i think towards the end of the album the songs which dont really stand out. the sound seems to go over the vocals at times. ok song.
12. Blue Piccadily 4/5
Good song to end the album on slow song to end the album on. it does pick up witht the sounds of the drums a bit. This song ends on the lead singer repeating Twelve Steps and Home!
Overall a fantastic album. You couldn't ask for much more from a debut album. Great hits on it. There gonna be big for 2006. They are currently on tour aswell if you are interested more info at their website.
Twelve Steps and they are certainly right at home! (cheesy yeah but it had to be done)

I'd give "Strange" 6 out 5 as well - it's the standout track on the album for me. Lexy

Is it good for a track's beginning to sound like Orson? Try using MS Word to write the review and spell check it first. Otherwise, pretty convincing, I might invest. Thanks, Ed.

I have to say I've not heard these yet, but I'll keep an eye - or ear - out for them. x
