Advantages: It's an important part of modern hip hop history Disadvantages: It's rage filled hate music
...winded shout out and the chorus is basic yet catchy. Shadows spitting sounds great in the first verse although the lyrical content is nothing that hasn't said a thousand times before by other rappers; " ready rock, that's what I'm sellin' and E pills, four hundred for fifty get you a refill, Twenty-three a gram n***a, let's do the deal" *yawn* There just isn't anything original in this verse, although the way it's spat does hold your interest.
Next up is Sekou 720 who again delivers a nothing but average verse. It sounds okay, but lacks originality and the lyrics just aren't up to much.
So then we have Black Child. Is he going to perform any better? Quite simply no. It's as average as the previous two verses.
Nearly 4 minutes into the song Ja Rule starts off with his chorus (each rapper does their own chorus before each verse) and you...

Advantages: All 25 songs are classics in Soul and Popular music Disadvantages: None!
...Eyes captured a strong, red-blooded and unusually assertive vocal performance from the magical Diana Ross. Indeed a classic, When The Lovelight Starts Shining Through His Eyes
disappointingly only endured marginal chart success where it glided in at No.23 on the U.S Billboard Charts. On that note it was certainly a significant breakthrough for The Supremes as this had made far more noise than their previous singles. Their highest chart position before When

Whilst key Motown artists like Marvin Gaye, Stevie Wonder, Smokey Robinson & The Miracles, Mary Wells and The Marvelettes were doing respectable business on the charts, the
"no-hit" Supremes had literally recorded flop after...

Advantages: some very catchy songs Disadvantages: not the best of rappers really and fergie isnt the best of singers
...As you already know, the blackeyed peas havent exactly been well known for their great rapping and MC-ing but this album, Elephunk does them a lot of credit!
This is the BlackEyed Pea's third album believe it or not and this time they have cracked it! Rather than this album being all hardcore hip-hop and rap etc the BlackEyed Peas have gone for the more conventional approach of creating a party album if you like to target a wider audience.
They could not have picked a better first single, than the foreve popular Where is the Love? This song expresses its concern over the state of the world today in many different ways. Elephunk is full of mostly pointless and sometimes just daft lyrics such as they continually "keep it stinky" on Smells Like Funk. Topics covered include partying, sexy girls, booty shaking, and, well, partying...
