Advantages: Contains a vast diversity of music from David Coverdale's post Deep Purple carrier
Disadvantages: Nothing, unless you hate Whitesnake (and if you did you wouldn't be reading this)

Whitesnakes 30th Anniversary Collection appears to be a glorified greatest hit album. However it's more than this. Its 52 tracks contain live tracks, the original version of Here I Go Again, songs from David Coverdale's (DC's) album with Jimmy Page of Led Zeppelin and of course songs from DC's solo work. The three CD's cover the carrier of DC after he left Deep Purple. The first disc with tracks like Ready An' Willing and Fool For Your Loving (live) brings Whitesnakes blues element through to the listener beautifully. I would say the first disc is best of Whitesnakes blues. The second CD contains the Coverdale Page songs as well as more live songs and a collection of Whitesnake hits. Clash - Of the Titans

Advantages: Interesting and enjoyable snapshot of life and music in London, 1979.
Disadvantages: Newcomers might enjoy it 10% less than old fans.

Until recently, the few Clash songs I'd heard were limited to 'Should I Stay Or Should I Go', 'Rock The Casbah' and 'London Calling', and I felt that these presented a rather one-dimensional view of the band. Then, on a magazine's free CD, I came across 'Train In Vain', which appears on the London Calling album. Train in Vain is an amazing funky, upbeat song, which shows an entirely different side to the band, and yet you can still tell it is a Clash song. After hearing Train in Vain, I was considering buying the album, but was not entirely convinced I would enjoy a whole Clash album, and even less sure I would fork out £10 or so to find out. Disadvantages: Another version to buy!

does have a very naughty couplet “inside every teenage girl is a fountain, inside every young pair of pants there’s a mountain”. This like looking at an artist’s sketch book, this the idea but I will do this instead. Diamond Dogs (K.Tel edit) (4.37) this is a unique edit of the title track to fit the 1980 best of catalogue number (NE1111). I still have the advertising poster for this along with other posters in a box in the loft ka-ching! Candidate (2.37) (Intimacy mix) the album track re-mixed for the soundtrack of the film “Intimacy”. Rebel Rebel (2003) completely reworked for the “Charlie’s Angles” “Full Throttle soundtrack, this arrangement is the opening live track on the Reality Tour DVD.
