Gagging to Shave my Tongue!!!!!

Over the past year or so I have been having quite a bit of bother with my teeth, including having to have two wisdom teeth removed recently, having root canal work and a chipped front tooth. I have always been fastidious about oral hygiene and take great pains to ensure that my teeth and gums are in the very best condition they can be. I religiously brush my teeth after every meal and floss twice a day. After a recent trip to the dentist, to check on the healing of my gums after having had my two wisdom teeth removed, my dentist remarked that I am having a lot of build up of dental plaque. Despite regular trips to the dental hygienist to have it removed, it just seems to come back quicker each time. The Diary Of A Tongue Piercing

Advantages: Everthing but the healing
Disadvantages: healing process

Okay so what I've decided to do is follow what happens during each day of a tongue piercing. Instead of just one day sitting down and writing the whole thing in an hour I will spend a few minutes each night explaining what the day was like, how it hurts on the day, what I ate, the progress my tongues made, any worries, and anything else I can think on that day. I think then this will give everyone a good idea as to what a tongue piercing is like and what may happen day after day. So In some ways it's like a tongue piercing diary haha. I know it's very long but this way everyone who is interested will get an in depth review and I have also tried to add a bit of sarcasm, wit and comedy so it will not be a long boring read. I will follow what happens each day for 2 weeks writing a few lines for each day, anyway enjoy and I hope this helps ...

it was important I didn’t move once he started, he asked me if I was under the influence of alcohol or drugs - no I wasn’t. He checked under my tongue to make sure there wasn’t any veins he could hit. He placed a metal clamp on my tongue and then drew a dot on it so he knew where to pierce. I was asked if this looked like it was in the correct place, once I agreed he sprayed some antiseptic numbing spray on (which tasted like bubblegum) and before I new it, the metal bar was through with no pain at all. A needle is used to pierce the tongue, a bar placed through and then a silver ball screwed onto either end. The first bar I had in was a 2.5-cm big, it felt huge. I was told my tongue would swell up to the size of the bar and may bleed. I was told to take two paracetamol and only eat liquid foods for a few hours e ...
