Advantages: Smooth guitar Through out Disadvantages: Find one because i cant
...This is some of Carlos Santanas best work on this very CD, his calming music soothes you as you listen to the endulgent music.
Santanas work is herd today in the marks and Spencer adverts (The one with the slow motion food)
This smooth distorted guitar playing on this album is the best you will find out there today.Samba pa ti was made in 1988 by CBS records and it has held its greatness to this present day.
With tracks such as Europa (Earths cry Heavens Smile) I Love you much too much, Samba pa ti, and Revelations you know this will be the best Carlos santana Album you are ever likely to hear in this day and age.
I would definatly recommend this to other people such as guitarists and music fanatics alike....

The vocals here are very, very treated and just become an additional musical tool within the tool. It’s a wonderful piece which trips along at pace and draws you in despite yourself.

Cosmic systems intertwine
Astral bodies drip like wine
All of nature ebbs and flows
Comets shoot across the sky
Can't explain the reasons why
This is how creation goes
I don't want nobody else
All the others look...

Advantages: Uplifting and joyful Disadvantages: For a debut album, it's hard to fault

Musical InfluencesLargely due to her background, Mayra Andrade's music is a mixture of international influences, in which traditional Cape Verdean rhythms and song-forms are fused with Afro rhythms, Latin melodies, Brazilian samba and Bossa Nova, jazz elements and even some French chanson. At first I thought the Brazilian rhythms to be the overriding influence, no doubt due to the contributions of Brazilian percussionist Ze Luis Nascimento who makes up the main trio of performers alongside Cape Verdean guitarist Kim Alves and Cameroonian bassist Etienne Mbappe. There are two other Brazilian guitarists, Tarcisio Gardim and Nelson Ferreira, who perform on some of the songs. Other Brazilian influences come from Mayra's work in the past with Chico Buarque and Lenine. But after a few listens it is clear that this album offers...
