My daughter is at that age where she loves to know all the latest dances so when I saw this advertised on television last year I knew it would be perfect for her. It is advertised as the complete party package as not only does it have 25 songs on a CD, but an extra DVD disc that shows you the dances to 8 of the most popular party songs. Also included in this are 11 Karaoke tracks.
The cover is bright and alluring. The lettering is bold 3D in an array of colours to catch your eye. A group of people dressed in all types of uniform doing the conga gives it a good party feel even before you play it.

The accompanying small booklet tells you all about each song, the singers, writers and recording labels etc. But there is also one side that lists codes in order to obtain the songs as mono and poly ringtones for your mobile. You simply text a number along with the code given. Each ringtone costs £3 which is around average.
I purchased my copy in Tesco. It was in the charts so very easy to find. I can't remember the exact price but Tesco chart CD's are reasonably priced. Most stores only hold chart CDs and a few favourites depending on space, so they may no longer have it in store. Larger stores devoted to entertainment such as HMV will probably have it, however you can buy it online. Two I noted were Tesco at £12.99 and Amazon at £14.99.
---IS IT DIFFERENT?---
I think this is quite different to other Party/Dance mixtures. Firstly because of the addition of the dance moves DVD and the Karaoke but also because there is a good mixture of songs. Most CDs such as this tend to stick to one era but this seems to stretch over a few decades. (Sorry if this makes you feel old suddenly!) Anyone from 5 to 105 will know two or three of the songs. They are all the popular dances too, and those ones you just love to hate, but somehow know all the words and moves too. Most are the original singers too. There is nothing I hate more than 'tinny' cover versions of classics, that either hit the wrong notes or change the tempo so much that you are singing 3 lines ahead.
With the addition of the Dance moves DVD it can also be used for a good workout. My daughter often puts this on to learn the moves and you just can't help but start tapping your foot and eventually getting up and ending up prancing round the room. I soon know it the next day so it must do some good.
---FINAL VERDICT---
I would definitely reccomend this to others. It is well worth the money with all that is included.
